The SHIB marketing team has revealed that the mainnet launch of Shibarium, an ecosystem layer 2 network for Shiba Inu, is near. No exact date was given but investors are expecting the announcement soon. Lucie from the SHIB marketing team mentioned in a Discord channel screenshot that there would be physical digital studio, various features for SHIB holders and licensed something when it launches.

As part of its plans, BONE will be used as a gas token to facilitate transactions on the blockchain and any transaction facilitated will result in burning of Shiba Inu tokens too. The features released by Physical Digital Studio will provide benefits to SHIB ecosystem holders such as scalability and lower gas fees which were lacking on Ethereum’s network before this upgrade.

Unfortunately scammers have been taking advantage of Shibarium’s upcoming launch by posing as Shiba Inu’s lead developer with fake Twitter accounts offering giveaways which never existed in reality. They even created a cloned website asking visitors to connect their MetaMask wallet leading them to lose their funds if they followed through with it.

Lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has warned users about these scammers and advised them not to follow any links or participate in any giveaway they see online until officially announced by him or other trusted sources related with this project.
